🏙️KidZania London

immersive-experienceplayground

KidZania London is an indoor interactive city that lets children aged 4–14 role-play over 60 real-world professions in a child-sized replica of a bustling metropolis. Kids can earn 'KidZos' (the in-city currency) by working as pilots, doctors, firefighters, chefs, and more, then spend their earnings on activities or treats.

  • Highlights: realistic airport with a full plane, a hospital with surgical simulators, a fire station with a fire engine, and a chocolate factory. The experience encourages independence, teamwork, and financial literacy.
  • Ages: designed for 4–14 years; children under 4 can enter the separate 'Little Explorers' area for toddlers (ages 2–4) at an extra cost.
  • Facilities: on-site café and restaurant, baby changing rooms, lockers, and wheelchair accessibility. Parents can watch from the 'Adult Zone' with Wi-Fi and charging points. Note that adults are not allowed to participate in most activities – KidZania is for kids only.
  • Practical tips: book tickets online in advance to secure entry times; weekends and school holidays sell out fast. Expect to spend 4–6 hours. Children must be accompanied by an adult (free entry for adults).

Travel tips

  • Book tickets online in advance

Reserve your timed entry slots well ahead, especially for weekends and school holidays, as sessions sell out quickly.

  • Plan for a full afternoon or longer

Allow 4–6 hours to experience KidZania properly; rushing through defeats the purpose of the role-play activities.

  • Independence-building starts here

Children work without direct parental involvement, encouraging confidence and independence whilst you observe safely.

  • Bring a second adult if possible

Since parents can't join activities, having two adults means one can supervise whilst the other rests in the Adult Zone with Wi-Fi and charging.

  • Use the Adult Zone strategically

The Wi-Fi and charging points in the Adult Zone are ideal for longer visits; consider rotating adult supervision duties.

  • Check Little Explorers for younger siblings

Ages 2–4 can access a separate 'Little Explorers' area, but this requires an additional ticket on top of main admission.

  • Baby changing facilities are available

On-site baby changing rooms mean you don't need to leave the venue if you're visiting with younger children or toddlers.

  • Use the lockers for belongings

Store bags and coats in lockers rather than carrying them around; children move more freely without adult belongings in tow.

  • Manage KidZos spending expectations

Children earn KidZos during activities to spend on treats or further experiences; set expectations beforehand to avoid overspending.

  • Food options are on-site

A café and restaurant are available, so you needn't leave for meals; bring snacks or budget for meal costs in advance.

  • Age range matters for enjoyment

Designed for ages 4–14; younger children in the core area and teenagers may have different engagement levels with activities.

  • Arrive early if queues concern you

Opening times mean fresher activities with shorter queues; arriving early also maximises time in the venue.

  • It's perfect rainy-day entertainment

Being entirely indoors, KidZania is an excellent option when London weather isn't cooperating.

  • Accessibility is accommodated

The venue offers wheelchair accessibility; contact ahead if your child has specific access needs to plan activities accordingly.
